My son Matthew was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis three years ago when he was seven years old. There was no warning, he just woke up one day and couldn't straighten his leg. A month later he couldn't straighten either leg. His entire life changed in a matter of months. He went through alot physically and emotionally.Today he is ten years old and with the help of methotrexate he is back to his old self. And we pray that his JRA will stay in remission as he is weaned off his medication.
Arthritis is not part of growing old, it can affect anyone at anytime. It is time we find a cure.
